Modern warehouse inaugerated in the freight village
AE Trade Online invests around 1 million EURO – possibility of expansion
Wilhelmshaven, 29 June 2018 – Today, the online trading company AE Trade Online, inaugurated a 1,800 m2 warehouse with ultramodern warehouse technology on a 1.1 hectare plot in the JadeWeserPort Freight Village located directly adjacent to Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven. The warehouse is used to store plant containers, basketware, garden furniture and home accessories for indoors and outdoors.
The goods are imported from Asia directly via Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven and then dispatched to over 50,000 business and private customers. The company from nearby Schortens has developed and marketed high quality decorative home & garden articles for 12 years now under the brand name VIVANNO. With its decision to invest approx. 1 million Euro in the Freight Village at JadeWeserPort Wilhelmshaven, AE Trade Online optimises its logistics processes thanks to the direct vicinity to the Container Terminal and the fast and reliable transport infrastructure. The managing directors of the company Andrea and Gustav Evers have raised the possibility of planning further expansion phases with the construction of an office and the expansion of the warehouse within the next 12 months. The aim is to centralise the company’s business activities at the Freight Village location from their current four separate locations.
Amongst the 100 guests invited by the Evers husband and wife team to attend the inauguration ceremony were also Olaf Lies, the Lower Saxony Minister for the Environment, Energy, Construction and Climate Protection, and member of the Supervisory Board of the JadeWeserPort companies, as well as Andreas Bullwinkel, Managing Director of Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven JadeWeserPort-Marketing GmbH & Co. KG. “We warmly welcome AE Trade Online to the still young community of the JadeWeserPort Freight Village, and are delighted that the first online trading company is using the good location in the direct neighbourhood of the Container Terminal to optimise its logistics processes,” says Andreas Bullwinkel.
